I remember fliping onto FNC and seeing this woman rant during a discussion about a story where the High School chose a lesbian couple as the hottest prom couple or something, and the two girls were lightly kissing or embracing or something. The lady was ranting how it was unncessary for the two to show affection to each others, and that they were flaunting homosexuality or something.

It must suck to be a minority.

But at the same time, I do think that the excuse that you're told to be ashamed is a reason to be proud all the more is bullshit. One illogical reason doesn't justify another. And this acknowledges the reason why majorities are forced not to take pride in their own physical qualities as well (White pride). "Cuz, you're not a minority".
