Korea is just 6th in the list, tied with Sweden.

 

In terms of penetration, yes some European countries compare, though Korea leads in both penetration and speeds, which is the point. Sweden and Switzerland have higher speeds but lower penetration than Netherlands and Denmark for example. S. Korea is ahead in both.

But please explain how the speeds make it so fantastic for gaming...

I mean, maybe they can download games faster from Steam, but so what?
