But ffs.. that has nothing to do with it.

Both consoles does the exact same thing, right? Both will play the exact same way if both are plugged in on a hard line and on a SDTV, right? So based on that chart, why would you chose the 360?

If two cars cost the exact same way and they handle the exact same way, but one of them has a cup holder, dvd player in the back seat and aircondition included for the same price. Why would one "settle" for the car with less features? Just because i dont plan on visiting the McDonalds drive thru - dont plan on watching dvds in the back seat and can just roll down the windows of my car to get AC - dosent mean i wont enjoy those features, ever.

I don't disagree with you, that the elite does match up poorly at the same price.  Wifi and Blu-Ray are not necessities for me and I refused to pay a premium for them; but some will see them as nice perks or additions to have, particularly when there is no cost difference.

You are however forgetting that there is still an alternative that allows you access to the entire 360 library for $100 less.  Using your car example, why would I buy one with a DVD player and A/C if I never intended on using those features and could get a car for significantly less without them?
