The Gamespot review is unacceptable. The reviewer seems to have no idea of what constitutes a fun-for-all-ages action platformer. "The game is too easy" -- what was he expecting, Ninja Gaiden Ultra Turbo? "The game has an identity crisis" -- another unbelievable howler. This is right up there with the numbskull king saying to Mozart in "Amadeus", "There were too many notes."

I've played the RC demo, and the gameplay simply rocks. Crisp controls, responsive animation, great weapons balance, engaging challenges, and some quality voice-acting and over-the-top humor. I'll be getting the game soon, but the reviews are unanimous on one point, namely that Insomniac maintained this level of quality throughout the rest of the game.

I don't expect miracles from the game press. All I expect is that people who are paid to review games should DO THEIR JOB. That means understanding the genre and game they are reviewing, and comparing it with other games in its genre. If you hate RTS games, please don't review RTS titles.
