It doesn't matter what the game is. Sony couldn't implement new features into the PS3 without it affecting how some games play, so the developers of those games are within their rights to be pissed off about it, as are the people that own those games.
EA are being made a scapegoat here, and it's no surprise to see people unwilling to place a single ounce of blame at Sony's feet. People who are that obsessed by this stuff that they'll wish death upon someone's kid or plaster a forum with offensive images have mental health issues. What's worse is that it's all based on a completely unsubstantiated rumour. I'm not referring to you or anyone else here in this last paragraph BTW.
