KH2 in my opinion made a brillant move in making the plot much more complex thank KH1, so it's only natural that these games will try to flesh out the new things introduced. Yes, it's a way for Squeenix to make more money, but if the stories are enjoyable and it fits well in the big story, I'm all in for it
