Well if this thread showed us anything is that Demon's Souls needs MORE HYPE!!!! lol

Fine, if it is THAT good, then do hype it up.  I guess no one is going on record to say it is a "game changer" though.  I have seen far too many titles hyped as "game changers", with Killzone 2 being the prime example.  Coming as a sequel to the "Halo Killer", it was supposed to win over the XBox player to the PS3 for FPS action.

Here's the problem. If we hype it up just for being a good game, are guys like you going to come out and call it a failure when it doesn't sell 300K first week? [Which it most likely has ZERO chance at]

If it sells 300k first week, then it should have sold 500k.  If it sold 500k, then it should have sold 700k, etc., etc.

My favorite games this gen - MGS4, VC, ToV, and LBP - didn't exactly sell millions upon millions.

But yeah -  Fable 2, Mass Effect, Too Human, etc. were never hyped.  Only Sony fans hype games /sacrasm.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
