Well who isn't gonna suck up to a major source of income? What I wouldn't see coming is any developer who wants to continue working with MS coming out and saying natal seems like utter shit and we won't be developing for it. Now that I wouldn't see coming.
As to the article what's interesting is not that Rare like the look and potential of Natal, rather that Rare basically said "we really hated being bought out by MS because they're probably the last console we wanted to be exclusive to". Of course they didn't say it like that but in diplomatic speak "for me this is really the first time that Microsoft and Rare are on a very similar path,"... "But obviously the hardware is aimed at a different demographic, and so we’ve always battled against that." is pretty much as insulting as you can be to someone who totally owns your ass.
