So, why, oh why, are we saying that Epic is worried? Epic should be worried. They have some fierce competition in game engine business now. It's rediculious. Is Guerilla worried? Naughty Dog? Doesn't Epic have an as yet unrevealed engine in the works? Guerilla and Naughty Dog have nothing to worry about as they do not license out their engines, therefore CryEngine 3 is not a competitor to them. Truth is, this engine looks great. A new engine to compete against Epic should be great for the evolution of graphics on all consoles, and Epic is still gonna be making shitloads of money either way. |
