Clearly, a lot of people on this forum praise The Cell as the best thing ever.
But the realitiy is, it got reviewed by quite a lot reviewers at metacritics and it's not as praised there as it is here.
It got a measly metascore of 40!
I cannot believe people can overlook these facts posted on our favourite rating website.
Here are some different opinions of the reviewers:
"Something of an unforgettable experience." (= One of the few positive reviews)
"Not nearly the mindfuck it wants to be." (= Stating it's overhyped)
"The Cell is foremost about singular imagery, a succession of still pictures strung together frame by frame." (= EXTREMELY low performance)
"A high-tech freak show." (= In ya face!)
"This Cell isn't too likely to multiply itself into a sequel." (There won't be a succesor)
