Replacing the engine/fuel cells/electric car batteries for a car cost in the range of $5000 to $10000 if you get new parts and are out of warranty. If the problem is not widespread, it is unfortunate for the individual who wants the repair but not up to the manufacturer to eat the costs to repair when they have fulfilled their obligations of the sale.
