I dont think thats going to be possible. Link: http://kotaku.com/5271156/hows-final-fantasy-versus-xiii-coming-along This was in May 2009: In the latest issue of Japanese magazine Dengeki, Tetsuya Nomura provides an update. "The progress of developing Final Fantasy Versus XIII is going well," he says. Nomura is surrounded with much of the same staff he's been working with since the FFVII days. According to Nomura, the staff and he are in tune and very much on the same page — they even catch things before he says them. Currently the team is testing the battle and map mechanic over and over again as well as checking the game's lighting. "We did a lighting test for the cityscape during noon and evening," Nomura says. "It really gives a good impression — of a city right before your very eyes." Things like the character's actions are coming together bit by bit. And with Final Fantasy XIII getting a new trailer at E3, Nomura adds, "I don't want to loose [to FFXIII]." While Final Fantasy XIII has been announced for the Xbox 360 in the West, Final Fantasy Versus XIII has only been announced for the PLAYSTATION 3. |
So it was only announced, nothing really spells exclusivity, there's nothing to stop a 360 version from being announced in the future.
If Nomura and his team don't wanna port it to the 360, that's ok, S-E will simply get another team...take Valve, when they made the orange box for 360 and PC internally, EA got another one of their teams to work on the port, so there is a precedent for this.
Like I said, I want to be optimistic, but this is S-E, and they have done nothing on the PS3, everything they did with the PS2 was killed off when FF13 went to the 360, and even till this day S-E have released more games on the 360 than the PS3....it's not hard when they didn't release anything for the PS3 to begin with, so really one can only be pessimistic when talking about S-E and PS3 together in one sentence.
