Eh.  Happy Libya is better then keeping a mass murderer behind jail for a few more months.

It's not like he's going to get another shot to pull it off again.

Most likely the US gov gave their support for this behind the scenes anyway and is just playing the outrage card to play it up to the voters.

Afterall nobody did more to bring Libya back into the international fold then the US.

 

Had he died in Scotland he'd of gone in Libya as a great national hero who was martyred by the west.

Now he'll either be seen as proof the "west" is changing (in reality Momar is changing and using less propganda)

or that Momar isn't going to be as helpful as he once promised to be.


Either way... the US and EU will know where they stand with Libya better.
