I sent mine in also 60gb when it stopped working and they sent a 60 back but not the same model. It's louder now so I'm guessing that it might be that they overheat. I'm still happy having the 60 though because otherwise I'd have over 30ps2 games I couldn't play. Plus it is covered for 90 days after they sent one back to you. I'd recommend getting it repaired.
