^^This, and I really think that the pacing and scale of the cutscenes continually brought me out of the game, I couldn't get a grip of the gameplay becuase there was never more than 20 minutes of it at a time, followed by 20-30 mins of cutscene. Not being able to get into the gameplay made me want to rush though the game as fast as I could just to see the story, and never got involved in the game itself. I know it sounds like a troll comment, but I just wanted it to be good so badly, I was pretty dissapointed and may be a bit jaded about it. Edit: Great, my 200th post was a troll post. |
This is not trolling, not by far. You'll find that many gamers share your exact opinion and that has always been the gamble with MGS games, you either love it or you hate it. I've always liked them but I don't really know a whole lot of people (even gamers) who share my opinion. Also, kudos for adding WoW on your list, that's a real piece of shit right there... |
Thanks, Your Eminence. Oddly, MGS for the PS1 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I really liked MGS2, that's why I wanted MGS4 to be good. And the story was quite excellent, don't get me wrong. I'm also super excited for MGS Rising, because I feel like it might get back to the action of the games. WoW just scares the crap out of me, have you ever watched "The Guild" on xbox live? Man that's some funny stuff.
