Sure all consoles fail at one time or another, I've seen PS3's failure between 2% and 10%(By Game Informer).. Yet I've seen Xbox 360 failure rate between 33% and 53%(by Game Informer). This statistics cannot be denied, to do so would show true fanboyism. I surmise that the difference between unique PS3 and Xbox 360 owners in smaller than thought, but not incredibly smaller, maybe 7 mil difference instead of 8 mil? And yes, this does prove that the attachment rate on the 360 is higher than the PS3. |
It's a topic with no end. We can't surmise what kind of effect this has on sales. Even if it is significant, it's still all sales. The only thing it changes is how impressive the 360's attach ratio is, but without solid numbers we'll never know how much. Other than that tidbit, there's little reason to discuss it. Sales are what they are for whatever reason. We'll never get an answer on any effect this has had. So sure, it's a fair point, but what does it actually serve to discuss it?
Like badgenome just mentioned though, the same blogger has gone through 3 PS3's also. What do we do with that bit of info?
