You can have it so that not only does the game do the breaking for you but if you still manage to make a mistake you can just 'rewind' and avoid the accident?!! Poor choice of wording in my post. They said that the game would decelerate for you so does that mean you would just hold down one button all through the race and all you'd have to do would be steer? On second thought, perhaps it not all that different from playing a FPS which has a large aiming assist.

Physics says otherwise. There is slowing down. That works... but there is no decelerate.
