So you think the PS3 will sell 4 million or more this holiday and that will shorten the gap between it and the 360 in half? So you expect the 360 to sell what this holiday? Nothing?

Regarding the larger topic, this would be very smart of Sony to get the game out worldwide by the end of the year. I really don't know why they're waiting so long to announce a date though if they plan on releasing it in '09. It's to the point that they should set a real date and get a great anticipatory word of mouth going.

Sony has 2 games that are almost guarantee that the PS3 is going to be selling a lot this holiday season in Japan and Europe. The console is finally at an easier to look at price point and to top it off they have a revision ready to go along with all of that for this holiday season. In regards to the 360 I expect it to sell but not as much as last year and certainly not as much as the PS3 this year. If GT5 and FFXIII Both release this holiday season then you can quote me on saying that those two games will serve as a catalyst to the PS3 shortening the 360 lead significantly.

U realize that the 360 would have a) stop selling or b) sell 10-20x less than the ps3 this holiday over two games to reach that 4 Million mark. Not happening.

Of course it'll shorten, but by a million or two. There won't be a mass rush for ps3s. And even if there is, there will be supply shortages that will hamper higher sales. This always happen. Ex: the wii at launch and holiday 2007.
