Well in my case I didnt actually finish the games the first time. For Dark Cloud 2, I played it and then just started hating it so I stopped. 2 years later I decided to try it again and ended up loving it. The other one that comes to mind was Mario Sunshine, I really hated it the first time and then a year later I returned to it and finished it and ended up liking it.
