I'm sure. That I refuse to be cataloged. That I cannot be contained to any singular viewpoint. That I can think of a situation in any number of ways. You usually create battlefields with your devisive posting, pitting gamer against gamer. Just look at this thread. You ask if I see it as a us versus them. No I see it as a them versus them. I am disconnected from the ebb and flow. I try to create a balance of opposition where I see one lacking. When I see a topic bogged down in the same old debate. I just have to pound a few wrinkles in. I am only interested in your war in the abstract. I am only interested in the nuance of what has, is, and will transpire. In other words I am the prototypical member for forums such as these. I do not care who wins. Only in the analytical debate that I can have.
I thrive on original debate, and fundamentally new points of view. In other words expressing a dissenting opinion... just for the hell of it? Sounds like that's another way of saying, "I like to start shit." I am not happy unless I get to see something I haven't seen before.
Fanboy flames? This little console war may matter to you and to others, but it doesn't matter to me.
Then why do you bring it up in every other post you make? You're constantly making commentary on what one side or the other is doing. Am I wrong isn't that what these forums were for. For members to discuss the numbers, and to try to understand why things are happening.
That is what they are for. Not for members to be on a side battling another side.
Then stop making posts that do nothing more than draw battle lines in the sand. The terminology you use splits people into camps, and it only furthers the console war mentality. You might not understand it now, but the forum needs more members like me.
We most certainly do not. Posters like you bring war. People that think outside of the box. That will keep the debate from being so stagnant that only soulless Fanboys find it rousing. Who will keep the discussion from just repeating itself verbatim forever, or until everyone gets bored with their little war.
If they became bored with it, maybe it would end. Guys like you only keep it going strong. Does that answer your question? On and before you say something like troll. No I am not a troll I am actually its polar opposite. I go off on my tangents for the benefit of all.
I see no benefit from your original post in this thread. Not out of some sense of narcissistic indulgence. I am knocking people out of complacency, and not causing any kind of disruption beyond providing an alternate point of view. So if you can't understand that then I just feel really sorry about that.
Being condescending will get you nowhere. Also, calling youself "the prototypical member", or saying that we need "more members like [you]" doesn't help the case that you aren't a narcissist. Actually, the fact that you had to make a point of saying you aren't narcissistic when nobody brought it up is rather telling. |
