Actually there's a video up from some gaming site that opened up their PS3 Slim (courtesy of Sony) and they tested it out for about 3 hours or something like that and they said that the PS3 was more quiet than the Wii. Judging by how it's so quiet you'd think that it wouldn't over-heat as much.
But there's a flaw with the OP's article that states the PS3 is smaller and has smaller heat-sinks and yada-yada-yada. But along with the smaller model comes alot less power/energy consumption as well. What would have been more of a valid point would be to compare how much the slim is smaller and then compare it to how much less energy the slim uses. If the percentage of the systems volume matches that of the power consumption then we're ok as PS3 owners. I think if they went into a better analysis then it would have proven to be better for the PS3 but then that would be giving credit towards it so that's out of the question.
Sorry if this doesn't make any sense.
