Why is the Notion of the PS3 moving Out of third or even up a Bit in Sales so offensive to certain people?

The predictions for PS3 slim are so outrageous that people are offended by the stupidity of the posters.

If I told you a Wii price drop to $199 would increase it's sales by 250% for all of 2010, would you call me crazy? I hope you would, but that's what people are expecting from Slim.
