Great article, the media and all these goofy writers should show more respect to Sony, they probably wouldn't be making a living off writing about games if it wasn't the Playstation!

 

wow, this statement saved my time i would waist on some crappy fanboy rant. 2-3 articles against sony and it already is "showing no respect?". without nintendo and their consoles there wouldn't be any games since they made gaming industry from scratch after 1983 - sony only copied nintendo and bought their way out to the top by moneyhating publisher and developers. yet nintendo was the one who actually always made a progress in gaming industry from controllers, handhelds, services to whole genres of games. sony did nothing and yet nintendo always ends up with all the hate.

And if sony didnt came into the industry video games would stay the thing for kids and we wouldnt had any mature games as well as some of the most popular franchises today.

lol, just stop. mature games were made before psx era if you know - most of the games that made playstation so popular started on nintendo and microsoft consoles. Shin Megami Tensei, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Snatcher, Policenauts, Ys, Chrono Trigger, Harvest Moon, Ninja Gaiden, Splatterhouse, House of the Dead, Earth Defense Force, Breath of Fire, Shadowrun all started on older consoles. psx and ps2 didn't established any game/genre that was new to the industry - all those "mature" games were on snes, nes long time ago not to mention pcs.
