it does still have a 400$ model, but the 299$ model is identical to the 360 but comes with free online and blu-ray, of course it will be competitive. Im sure the selection of 120gb for the hdd was exactly because they predicted the drop in the elite. Though the ps3 still appears to have superior hardware value (software is subjective)
