"Sword of the Stars" was a pleasant suprise. I like strategy games a lot and wanted to play one with space setting I just saw SotS in a bargain bin one day and decided to buy it and I became a fan of the series, I also got all the expansions now and they add lot of neat content to the game.
I like how they have managed to make it very simple. You don't have to micromanage at all and you can concentrate more in to the combat which is fun, also the game has massive amount of weapons you can mount on your ships and every race is a very different to play.
