I would lean towards the PS3 if I were you due to multimedia (Blu-ray, Home) and free online. Plus you seem to like more PS3 games, and if your friends already own it, so it would be even more of a good choice here.
I've owned the X360 and now I own a PS3 so I'd risk to say the PS3 seems to be a more complete piece of hardware.
