$199 XBox 360 starting price with a much bigger and better game library than the PS3.
So PS3 has a $299 price tag and has Blu-Ray and Wi-fi included in its price - big deal. PS3 has a much smaller games library in comparison to the XBox 360 and PS3 is handicapped by no longer having PS2 backwards compatibility as an option in the PS3 Slim. PS3 games library is growing but the 360 library is growing as well.
The $299 price tag will make the PS3 more price attractive worldwide. PS3 will slowly claw back the 360 lead over the PS3 which is around 8 million worldwide. A staggering 9 million XBox 360 sales lead over the PS3 in North America region alone. If the PS3 outsells the 360 now on by 2 or 3 million units per year it would take 3 or 4 years for the PS3 to overtake the 360.
