When I look at them side by side, this is what I get
(the rest is pretty much the same)

PS3 slim ($299):

- Free Internet You don't get free Internet..What you do get is a free service that requires internet...And is considered infirior by industry analyst...(PSN) (mostly same features as XBL No not really..PSN is way more Expensive when it comes to renting and buying movies..also PSN (What ever they are called)games don't come with Demos unless the dev can afford them or Sony backs the tittle themselves...So you can't get a trail version of every game..like you can with XBLA... ., execpt cross game voice, which is rumored being worked on)
- Blu-Ray Ok..there are benefits to this
- Controller Hummm...It's good that the controller comes this way...but a 20 B pack and wire charger...really made no difference to me...But I guess in the long run the dual shock would save you the money..(no batteries needed)
- Web Browser
Does not enhance gaming in anyway...this is the least important of fetures Sony offers....And really...Don't you think there is a reason why the biggest software company in the world has not put their browser on the their console...
- HDD Replacement Don't feel this important...I don't recall ever hearing about MS HDD for Xbox 360 no longer working..as far as upgrading goes....I don't anyone has filled an 120 360 HDD...but if you feel this is important...so be it
- Smaller Does it have Wifi still?

Xbox Elite ($299)

- Better Internet It's not just better...It's way better...I've never heard anyone complaning about lag like they do about the PS3 (People I know) And it also has way more features and content is cheaper Cross game chat is worth $ 4.17 a month....Especially is you have lots of friends...I mean seriosly...if 50 bucks a year lets me join a voice chat party of 5 or more people that are all playing different games...I am getting my money's worth(although it cost $50 a year to play online)
- Free Headset yeah and it works great too

I didn't include exclusives games, since both system have equal and great exclusives!
So in the end, Xbox will be the more expensive one To rent movies on PS3..you have to pay 2.00 a movie...For 24 hours...on Xbox 360 with netflix..you 8.99 and can watch all the movies they have available which is alot...On PSN...If watch 10 in one month...that's 20 dollars, where you have to either buy batteries,
or rechargeable batteries if you want wireless, and that you have to pay, to play. A battery pack..and it wire charger are 20 bucks..and your paying for the best online gaming service on consoles...just look at the difference between your friend on XMB to NXE....XMB will emulate NXE as much ads it can with it's upcoming update...

A Blu-Ray player also cost quite much ($150 +/-) which is included with the PS3.
It's a shame that a headset is not included, but the Blu-Ray player covers that up how exactly does the blu-ray player cover that up..since you don't get a head set..you tell your self...I have Blu-Ray..I don't need to chat when I'm playing online with people..? becuase if you buy one..Which is like 60 dollars last I checked it's making the PS3 more expensive..going by your logic, and much more!
In my opinion, PlayStation 3 is still a winner, when it comes to most value for the money. IMO Xbox 360 has more value...

Both consoles is great in their own ways though, but I seriously think Microsoft should cut out that $50 yearly cost for internet. I would hate to get subpar service...I hope XBL is 50 bucks a year...that mesly 50 bucks has gone a long way to make my service fantastic,secure...and the supirior service..evne in your opinion
That's utter crap, making their customers pay even more to play their games online..

edit: okay, so it's no free hdmi cable for the new elite, that kinda makes it even less valuable compared to PS3 slim, but it's still a great console nontheless. PS3 never came with HDMI cables....and the Slim does not ethier...What's your point?
