Eh, I've seen bits and pieces of it, since someone I know is kind of obsessed with it. Not saying it's bad, but unless it had amazing animation or something, I wouldn't really be willing to watch it anyway since I feel OP works better in manga format.

Animation sucks in the beggining of the video, after they change episodes it gets a lot better, but its not amazing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYHcPmV45Ks This a good series, Rurouni kenshin; kenshin vs Saito, start watching at minute 3, its a god fight, and I didnt even post the ovas, which have one of the best animations ive seen.

as much as my nostalgia prevents me to say anything bad about rurouni kenshin, the fact that you are arguing about which anime is better based on the fights, goes to show how deep you lack of taste and art really is. the ocas "had" some of the best anime back in 1999, now even we've seeing things beyond impressive as are the works by makoto shinkai(since they have no action or falic swords i guess you don't know them) or eden of the east.

I didnt say I was discussing it based on the fights, the use of fighting scenes comes to show the animation in a scene which uses a lot of movement, thats the reason.

 Now, Ive seen some Makoto Shinkai movies, I like them, out of the 2 I saw(beyond the clouds and 5 cm per second) I like the latter one the most, the first one had really bad character disign but bthe enviorments where awesome, it beat RK Ovas in color, but the character disign and movement in RK ovas where better(aswell as the music).

If you know RK you should know, it seems like a series that is based in sword fighting but the OVAS give the turn to a love story and the story of two lives that end in a way that makes you really see them as humans instead of heroes or fighters, they are very vulnerable compared to what most anime characters are.

Also, you should remember this discussion was about One peice and that doesnt stand to what RK is. And then, art is different to animation, refering to my first paragraph in this post.
