Same way in did 2007, only then the difference was merely $50 instead of $0 and blu-ray players weren't cheap, which they are now, so while the price difference is smaller, so is the inherant value of blu-ray compared to 2 years ago...and if WI-Fi and free online were never an issue before, i doubt the ever will be.
The PS3's biggest issue, like the Gamecube is less so much price (at least now) as it is content, it lacks the blockbuster games:
360 has the #1&2 spots for most anticipated games this year. Ratchet & Uncharted 2 didn't even make the top 20.
It's nice that the PS3 can play online for free, but the thing is, people want to play Halo/Gears/L4D/CoD online, for free (only the last is applicable to PS3) . Not Resistance and Mag.
