They are really bad offscreen screenshots.
You have to bear in mind this video has been compressed by Youtube heavily even when in HD. The game looks so much nicer playing on a 1080p TV.
Don't mind the bad player, he hasn't discovered the Roll yet. The roll has to be the most useful move in Lost Planet and Lost Planet 2 because of the invinciblity frames during the animation and it is needed for any chance of survival on the harder difficulties and online multiplayer. For those that don't know how to do it hold in the Left Analog stick so you are crouching and press the A button while also holding the left stick in a direction. You can also sprint by holding down B. You can also do different taunts by holding Start and pressing different directions on the Dpad. The controller guide doesn't tell you any of this. All of the above is featured in the original Lost Planet except sprinting.
