The cell is fine as is, the 45nm process just makes it more efficient power wise, potentially cheaper but not significantly faster or even faster at all. the last cell revision from 90nm didn't provide a speed increase, did it?
If anything should've been made faster, it's the 2x BR drive they should have sped up. imo
