You can't go by when the console launched. How did you expect launch titles to be made if they weren't in development prior to the release of the console?

Development is done on PC anyway, plus there is plenty of work to be done prior to actually starting the programming.

Okay, it can be in development pre-launch, but five years is way too long of a development time. Honestly, no game should take five years unless it takes 500 hours to complete.

And I doubt that it was in development for two years before the PS3.

Fine 4 years...because the ps3 was announced in 2005 and it was one of teh first games announced during that conference. it's still twice as long as Forza 3 and it's probably taking longer considering it still doesn't have a release date.

 

This May 2005...it's August 2009...no release date....any questions?

 

Now I know what ya gonna tell me ...it was Vision GT not GT5....so what? It was the beginning of development for the game. Either way, they been working on this for 4 years+...hell I might give them 5 years because I'm pretty sure they were in begining stages after finishing Gt4.
