Just for completeness:
Zogby has him at 45% approve, 51% dissapprove
Rasmussen has him at 50% approve, 50% dissapprove (32% strongly approve, 38% strongly dissapprove)
Gallup has him at 51% approve, 42% dissapprove.
Gallup generally has the highest numbers for Obama's approvals - I'll let people pick which one they want to take but my impression is that given the dynamic of the strongly approve/dissapprove index in the rasmussen poll matching up pretty well with the Zogby poll data I think they are closer than Gallup which has the reverse.
All of the data is accurate btw - that should be made clear. The issue is that how you ask a question, who you ask a question to, and even when you ask the question which then influences the results. So while each is accurate they are each a barometer of something different. Each poll represents how a particular sample of people feel about Obama when the question is asked a certain way at a certain time. Looking at all three polls within the context they give each other is a good way to get a feel for where abouts the number truly is for the nation.
