Exactly. There's no positive angle to the story for SCE if they still miss their annual projection by a great deal because they weren't even capable of producing the number of consoles they projected they would sell.

Your company announces they plan to sell 10 million units by year's end for example, but they only have 5 million available to sell. The investor question at that point becomes "what the hell happened?"
Undershipping inventory to increase an artificial demand would not be a sound strategy unless that undershipped inventory both met their annual projections, outperformed YoY totals and decisively outsold the competition.
Someone feel free to tell me how that's supposed to happen if SCE decides it's "wise" to simply hoard stock in a warehouse for the holidays.
