Why do people compare Forza 3 to GT5 graphics?

The PS3 wasn't even out five years ago. Not even three. How could be in development for FIVE?

You can't go by when the console launched. How did you expect launch titles to be made if they weren't in development prior to the release of the console?

Development is done on PC anyway, plus there is plenty of work to be done prior to actually starting the programming.
