I've thought about it some, and it comes down to this. Every PS2 Slim they sell makes a profit for SONY. They want to keep that profit. Every PS3 Slim they sell will still be a loss that they have to make up with software sales. If PS3 has BC then kiss PS2 Slim sales goodbye.
