Yep. IF I were to buy a PS3 at the $300 price, it would be the phat.
The size difference, imo, is crap. Its going to take up essentially the same footprint as the phat, there are no feature differences beyond a HDD that you would mostly likely replace for a better one anyways, AND the phat does look way better.
