The worker gets alot of points when he gathers wood and metal, aswell as cake. And when you build stuff and/or capture outposts.
The fire mage gives alot of points aswell. Just hold down the square to power up and dive into a groupe of enemies, blasting them aside and causing some serious fire damage. If you go into an outpost and power up in the tower you can just drop down and unleash fire whenever an enemy group is trying to capture that outpost.
But i'd say a busy worker is the best way to get big points. Also capturing the princess or assist in the capture of a princess gives you a nice point boost. But by doing so, your obviously minimizing the game time, since you'd win the game and move on to the next map.
