like everyone else who mentioned it - save up for it.
unlike everyone else who mentioned it - i understand that $300 is a lot of money for someone who actually has bills for two.
you don't need the slim on day one, so save up and hopefully by the time you can buy it all the games you wanted now will be platinum (or whatever sony calls it).
*sigh* it was nice when all the money i made/had was disposable income.
