i am okay with ubuntu (gnome) its fast even with compiz on i am about to do a clean install now.
the only slow app was firefox but i am using swiftfox now.
kde 4 it's like windows 7, not as slow, but some things require more cpu than ubuntu, way more, needed at least a dual core cpu.
us Prescott based single core oldies, can't take, even with a decent gpu.
