It's not a big deal, but obviously it's not preferable. The other problem is mandatory installs and that isn't a solution at all to disc swapping. Really though at times both can be done correctly to minimize the annoyance and sometimes they can both be downright brutal. People mention Star Ocean 4 as an especially poor example of disc swapping, while MGS4 is an especially poor example of mandatory installs. What's humorous is that of the three consoles, it's the Wii that managed to get this one right. There's no installs, no disc swapping and everything is just pop in and play until the end.
