It would be interesting if at the last moment, Sony dropped the price on the system. Think about it, if Sony say they will release a PSP Go! for about $20 more or less than the current PSP, it would hurt PSP sales since people will just wait for the PSP Go! But if they announce right before it comes out that it's going to be $200 (not sure how that translates) then they will still have the PSP 3000 sales AND a successful launch of the PSP Go!

That would be clever, but I dont think they would do that.    It could piss alot of people off that would have waited for the PSP Go if they knew it was that price.    Maybe the price is this high because they get a free copy of GT PSP if they register their PSP Go within 10 days of launch.

People get pissed off regardless but in the end, Sony are in the business to make money. Think of all the people who are slightly mad because they bought a PS3 at $400 dollars a week ago. I do think that GT PSP is an incentive but I could honestly picture Sony dropping the price of the Go by the end of the year.

But most of those people can get a price match,  in some stores you have between 14-30 days to match a sale price on an item you bought.   So while its a little inconvienent, not all is lost like the PSP situation.
