Well, I took a survey several months about what I'd like to see in a God of War special edition, and the easiest answer, and I'm assuming most popular was "Include GoW1/2 on the blu-ray disc."
My guess is the answer was so popular, Sony figured they'd be able to just straight up sell them outright and make a load of cash.
