A multiweek process?

Why does it take multiple weeks to say "Please take your pants off?"

I'm pretty sure that their sex text is probably a genetic test, and (unlike CSI) these can take quite a while to get completed ...

One of my sociology courses in university had a section on gender issues, and a surprisingly large portion (something in the range of 1%) of people are born with abnormal genitals and their sex is difficult to determine. In most cases in the western world a minor surgery can be performed which makes the sex of the child clear, but this may not be done in poorer nations and there are even some people who this is not an option. On top of this, some of the earliest cases of "sex changes" come from boys who were born with such abnormal genitals that they received the surgery at a young age and were raised as girls.

Now, none of that probably relates to this case but it does explain why they might favour a genetic test ...

With that said, I wouldn't be that surprised to see a woman be remarkably masculine looking if steriods were part of her training regiment as a teenager; and even if steriods were not in her system as an adult in competition it would still translate into a very large advantage.
