the physical act of disk swapping - not such a big deal.

however - when it effects game design it kind of is a big deal. this probably mostly affects open world designs but the developer has a choice: make you open world smaller or split it into various selection (such as islands) and avoid moving between the sub sections too frequently.

the 360's dvd isn't really that small but it still forces a design limitation. it's just kind of nice to know that this kind of limit doesn't have to be taken into consideration with ps3 exclusive games.

then again, imagine the games were on CDs and you had to swap the disk 100+ times. wow that would be horrible imo. it's all relative.
