Pretty stupid post as it is obviously just a dig at the PS3 and consoles in general.
A modern machine for the equivalent price will play anything you chuck at it well. That will be for years to come. What will slow you down is you will not be able to necessarily play all the newest DX11 games in all the glory that was expected.
I remember back in the day at a TFC LAN party watching a guy playing TFC at 640 and owning everyone. So although aesthetically things have come a long way basically if the gameplay was their in the first place it is irrelevant what level of AA or resolution is, as they are nice to have.
What you get with the 360 and the PS3 is that games will always deliver as the same peak performance for all owners regarless of the purchase date (well that is how it stand currently but I suspect this too will not always be true).
