| FreelancerPS3 said: well im glad to hear you want a PS3 again especially since the PS3's have a low fail rate btw did you hear about the survey(5000 people) done by Game Informer magazine? Console Failure Rate - XBox360 54.2% PS3 10.6% Wii 6.8% Scary See Here - your not the only one to lose an xbox360 |
Well, the fail rate would be a big part. Another part would be ms knowing they designed a faulty product and wanting me to pay $100.00 to have my 360 fixed after it failed just a few days after its warranty expired with them knowing all along it would probably fail sometime and that the reason it made it so long was it hadn't been used much.
Another part of it is that ffxiii if its going to be in uncompressed ps3 / blu-ray quality on 360 as Square insists it will, judging by the demo with Advent Chronicles, then it will require at least a 60 gig install to the 360's hdd. And I only had a 20 gig harddrive on my 360. If Metal Gear Raiden will be similar in size, then it will be another 60 gig install to avoid disc swaps. Plus, there hasn't been any evidence that Versus XIII will be coming to 360, but if it did, then it would be in the same size range. That is three games filling up more space than is currently on an xbox elite's harddrive.
Finally we might be moving into the age of digital content distribution, but my isp sevice isn't ready for it. I have to pay $30.00 a month for 512k download speed and it takes forever to even download 1 gig files at that rate. The only way to watch hd movies on 360 then would be to wait half a day for each one to download (pushing the console closer to rrod in the process) and it sounds like they're becoming interested in starting to bring out their full games on that delivery system.

stuff All microsoft had to say was 'Were glag their still buying, thanks to the warrenty' lol that just my summary of it
