If it's not about strong software sales, then that tells me there isn't a gamer craving for a top-down zombie shooter, either. You think that one PSN game in a near-dead genre is going to help Sony out as much as a 3rd party exclusive from a major developer?

Again, making a game in an entirely different genre and style and claiming it counters something is not a viable strategy. Making a FPS zombie shooter would be. Should Microsoft employ Namco to make a top-down racing game to counter Gran Turismo, now?
