Wait, we can throw used goods into this discussion? In that case, you'll probably be able to get a used ps3 for around $200 after the Slim hits. That's the same price as an Arcade! Boosh! Honestly, you had to do an awful lot of work right there to make the ps3 look overpriced compared to the 360 given the current state of things. ;) Anyway, it doesn't matter if the ps3 holds little value for you. Just because something is a bad value for you doesn't mean it's overpriced. For example, I can't stand McDonald's chicken niggets. I'd never order them, but I don't think they're too expensive for what they are. It's a pretty good deal for those that like them. I just can't stand them. |
Hey genious, the only thing that was used on my list was a HD. the rest is all new, I just shop smart. Also, if you want to quote the used console, I can buy a used arcade WITH the HD for around $90...so that would bring the total cost down to $195.00.
Also, The PS3 is overpriced for this gen. It is the most expensive consle that offers little over the competition. What it does offer, is not that important to the mainstream consumer. Imagine where this "console race" would be right now if the PS3 had started out at the price it is now? Do you honestly think MS would stand a chance? I don't think they would. But Sony had to add all the extras to their console, and sell it at a huge pricetag, is it any wonder that people who don't really care about Blu-ray, WiFi, and free sub par onlineplay are buying the Wii and the 360?
@iBlah, I had something to say about your last post...but it would come off looking extremely trollish (which is not my intent here), so, just read my above paragraph. I think it answers your question.
